We are thrilled to invite you to a spectacular celebration of dance, artistry, and community at the 88th Anniversary Benefit Concert. This milestone event marks nearly nine decades of nurturing young dancers and creating magical performances that have inspired generations.
Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with breathtaking performances by our talented young dancers in our Master Class program and Steffi Nossen Dance Company, showcasing their hard work, dedication and passion. This year we are proud to present works by esteemed choreographers Mackenzie Brewer, Annie Doss, Jessica DiMauro Marks, Indah Mariana, Eric Parra and Kaley Pruitt.

Choreographers
McKenzie Brewer (Jacksonville, FL) is a Douglas Anderson School of the Arts alumni and is currently studying at Montclair State University pursuing her BFA in dance. She has performed works by Jesse Obremski, Frederick Earl Mosley, Jennifer Archibald, Stefanie Batten Bland, Christian Von Howard, Paul Taylor, and more. Her choreography has also debuted at Montclair State University’s DanceMakers Show 2022 and 2023 along with Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts Emerging Choreographer Show 2022. She has also taught many different styles and has had the opportunity to teach young dancers from intensives in Jacksonville.
Jessica DiMauro Marks, a Steffi Nossen alumna, is a modern dance choreographer invested in creating work that is rich in physicality and deeply communicative. Jessica holds an MFA in Choreography from Jacksonville University and a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. She has taught and choreographed works extensively for both pre-professional and professional dance companies throughout the United States. Her company, DiMauro Dance, has been selected to perform at numerous curated festivals including Dance Conversations at The Flea and WHITE WAVE’s WAVE RISING Series. She is on faculty at Marymount Manhattan College and Montclair State University. She is a frequent guest artist for workshops and intensives throughout the tri-state area including the Martha Graham School and Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts. In 2013, Ms. DiMauro Marks was proud to be among the first few students to be certified in May O’Donnell Technique. Jessica is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and is a Certified Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher.
Annie Doss began teaching at Steffi Nossen in 2006. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and is currently pursuing her MS in Movement Therapy at Pratt University. A Steffi Nossen alumna with many performing credits, Ms. Doss has also presented her own choreography at the Theresa Lang and Red Room Theaters, Dance Theatre Workshop (DTW), SUNY Purchase, and Peridance Center. She is a founding member of DiMauro Dance and a Certified Pilates Instructor. In addition to her role as faculty member and choreographer at Steffi Nossen School of Dance, Ms. Doss is also a member of the Faculty at Trapeze School New York.
Indah Mariana is a choreographer, performer and dance educator. She has danced in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and across the US. Indah earned a BFA in dance from Purchase College Conservatory of Dance in 2008 and an MFA in dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2014. As a choreographer, Indah was awarded a Creative Engagement Grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in 2017. Indah has showcased work at venues and festivals including NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Lawrence University, Danspace Project, The Watermill Center, Seattle Asian Art Museum, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Dixon Place, and many others. Currently Indah performs with Monica Bill Barnes & Company as well as Catherine Galasso. She is an Assistant Arts Professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
Jocelyn Lewis Jocelyn is a recent graduate from Connecticut College where she studied English, dance, and media studies. Jocelyn has had the opportunity to choreograph her own work and perform in pieces by choreographers such as David Dorfman, Heidi Henderson, Lisa Race, Nathan Trice, and Ronald K. Brown. In her senior year, Jocelyn completed an Honors Thesis in Dance titled “Different Boat: How movement languages inform experiences of home and place”. The approximately 25 minute work was presented last April. Jocelyn is also a Steffi alumna and graduated from Scarsdale High School in 2020. Since graduating from college, Jocelyn has been teaching at Steffi, and she recently started an internship at Lilith Magazine, an independent, Jewish, and feminist publication.
Eric Parra is a first generation Colombian-American artist from Union City, NJ. He graduated from Montclair State University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. Since then, Eric has choreographed works at Union City High School, Franklin High School, Montclair High School, Montclair State University, and Santa Barbara Dance Theatre. This past January he had the honor to reconstruct José Limón’s masterwork There is a Time at Shenandoah Conservatory. Eric has served as a teaching artist for the José Limón Dance Foundation (JDLF), Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts, Bates Dance Festival and NJPAC, among others. Select performance credits include: Fire Shut Up in My Bones (US Tour), The Life and Times of Malcolm X (US Tour), POSE on FX, Camille A. Brown & Dancers, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Carolyn Dorfman Dance, Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance. Mr. Parra has recently been appointed Community Liaison for JDLF, and is part of the Board of Directors for the Martha Hill Dance Fund. Eric Parra is currently a performing artist with the Limón Dance Company as well as a vacation swing for Hell’s Kitchen on Broadway. More at ericparradance.com.
Kaley Pruitt is a performer, freelance choreographer, and Assistant Professor of Dance at SUNY Brockport. She received her MFA from UW Milwaukee and BFA from Florida State University. Pruitt founded her company in 2014 in NYC and has created over 30 works for the stage and screen. Pruitt recently received the Community Arts Grant from Genesee Valley Council on the Arts to implement a community building workshop and performance series in partnership with the Henreitta Public Library in 2025. Pruitt presented her research in interactive performance at the 2024 National Dance Educators annual conference. Notable commissions: Repertory Dance Theatre, Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company, Fem Dance Company, Idaho Dance Theatre, Vision of Sound/Society for New Music, Simantikos Dance Chicago, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and Illinois State University.
