Lauren Olson
Lauren’s dance journey began at age four at a local studio in Apple Valley, Minnesota.There she trained in styles including Jazz, Tap, Kickline, Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, and Lyrical. Her passion for teaching began through assistant teaching where she got the chance to work with students ages three all the way to competition level high schoolers. Lauren continued to pursue her love for dance at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City where she recently graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Dance, concentrating in Teaching Dance Arts, and her Bachelor of Arts in Business, concentrating in Arts and Media Management. During her time at Marymount, Lauren had the opportunity to perform in works created by Nancy Lushington, Monique Smith, Megan Williams, and Kendra Ross and train with teachers like Sheila Barker and Geoffrey Doig-Marx. Recently, Lauren worked as an School Administration intern at Ballet Co. Laboratory in St.Paul, Minnesota. There she was able to intersect her love for both dance and business to continue her education. She is excited to continue learning by joining the Steffi Nossen School for Dance and Center for Movement.
