We’re thrilled to announce that our amazing teacher, Alexandra Bilodeau, will be performing an upbeat, jazz-influenced piece set to Right Now by Mocean Worker. The dancers will be dressed in bright parachute pants and fitted black tops, bringing a vibrant energy to the stage! The choreography is dynamic, exploring both the connection between the dancers and showcasing their individual personalities, with a playful, sibling-like vibe woven throughout.

Our Steffi Nossen Dance Company will also be performing Without Rough Motion by Indah Marina. This timeless piece connects past and present, honoring the legacy of former performers while allowing today’s dancers to infuse it with their own stories and experiences.

Balkan Dreams showcases the rich variety and rhythmic complexity of Macedonian, Bulgarian, and Romanian folk music, featuring intricate meters of 7, 11, 12, and 22 beats per measure. This piece bursts with energy and mood, transporting you through a whirlwind of cultural soundscapes.

👠 Emily Bufferd/BEings dance – "yes, really"
A raw and resonant response to being questioned beyond reason. This piece embodies the calm but exasperated voice of those who have explained themselves time and again, only to be pressed further. Yes, really is a heartfelt reflection that will resonate with anyone who has ever felt unheard or misunderstood.

🎶 Alexandra Williamson – Alexandra was inspired to create a work exploring radical juxtaposition. The track, a slow air, is not ever danced to in traditional Irish dancing . Additionally, experimenting with tension / releasing tension, and, using a writing prompt to break through comfortable rhythm patterns in the torso and feet.

A contemporary exploration of expression in isolation, "Voices in the Void" tackles the frustration of feeling unseen and unheard.
